Wolfgang Tillmans

I first encountered Tillmans in a GCSE project studying natural forms. Arguably among the most defining works of his career, it was 'It’s only love give it away'  (2005) that I enjoyed most at the time. I enjoyed the vibrant hues and sweeping curves of these images whilst secretly admiring similar things about the other, perhaps not so GCSE-friendly, works of Tillmans'

I have included his 1996 photograph 'Kate Sitting' in my favorites. The striking red reminds me of colour field painting whilst seemingly only adding to the somewhat complex subject of the amazing Kate Moss.
